A Windsor man has died after a boat accident on the St. Clair River in the Sarina Area.
OPP say that around 7pm on Sunday, July 24th, 2016 they were called to a report of a lost 22-year-old male that had been a passenger on a large cruiser yacht located on the St. Clair River.
The male was last seen on the boat as it entered the harbour channel entrance to the Bridgeview Marina.
The OPP Marine Unit, St. Clair County Michigan Dive Team, Canadian and American Coast Guards, Sarnia and Point Edward Fire and Water Rescue all worked to locate the lost male.
On Monday, July 25th, 2016 around 2:50pm a deceased male from within the channel. T
The deceased male has been identified as Samsondeen Yusuf, 22 years-of-age of Windsor.
The Regional Coroner’s Office has taken over the investigation.
