Flags at Windsor City Hall are flying at half mast this week in a show of support for the community of Orlando, Florida and the victims of violence there this past weekend.
Mayor Drew Dilkens will also attend a vigil Wednesday night on Maiden Lane organized by the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest.
“This shooting is a tragedy on so many levels,” said Mayor Drew Dilkens. “Lowering the City flag and coming together on Wednesday night is our way of showing that we stand together for our neighbours in the United States.”
Wednesday’s vigil is scheduled to begin at 7pm.
