The LaSalle Craft Beer Festival returns for a second year taking place on Friday, October 9th and Saturday, October 10th at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.
The event will once again feature local craft beer and live entertainment from local artists, along with a new event.
The Town of LaSalle has partnered with the LaSalle Business Association to host the “LaSalle Smoke Off” event. Professional and amateur teams from across Canada and the U.S. will be striving to produce some of the world’s best southern style BBQ for cash, prizes and bragging rights. This event is part of a larger national BBQ competition circuit and is sanctioned by the Canadian Southern BBQ Association, the only Canadian sanctioning body in BBQ. In addition to the smoke off, the Canadian National BBQ Team will be onsite preparing their international award winning chicken and ribs for festival-goers to enjoy.
Essex County craft breweries that will be at the event include Walkerville Brewery, Craftheads Brewing Company, Midian Brewing and Brew Windsor. Additional breweries from across Ontario are Bayside Brewing Company, Beau’s All Natural, Highlander Brewing Company, Railway City, Steam Whistle, Lake of Bays Brewing Company and Nickel Brook Brewing Co.
Live entertainment will take place throughout the festival and features The Ron Leary Trio on Friday evening and Kelly “Mr. Chill” Hoppe and Greg Cox on Saturday night.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate and include admission and a keepsake sampler mug. Tickets can be purchased beginning September 8th at the Vollmer Centre or on-line through the event website.
Parking is free and the event will take place rain or shine under heated tents.
