Woman Robbed After Offering Someone A Ride

OPP in Leamington are searching for a 24-year-old Leamington man after a 37-year-old Wheatley woman was robbed on Saturday.
Police say that just before 8pm the victim travelling on Talbot Street East in Leamington and saw the accused, who she knew standing on the side of the road.
Thinking he was hitch hiking she stopped her vehicle to offer him a ride. When she did, the accused reached in and grabbed her wallet which was on the front seat of her vehicle.
A struggle ensued and the accused struck the victim in the face. He was last seen leaving the area walking west on Talbot Street East with her wallet.
The victim was not seriously injured and police are searching for the suspect.
