One of the top goal scorers in Ontario has been drafted by the Windsor Spitfires.
Kingston native Gabe Vilardi, 15, was selected by the team using their #2 place pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.
Vilardi is expected to bring a lot of power to the Spitfires after being named Ontario East Minor Hockey League Player of the Year in 2014-15.
He scored goals in 86% of games played while with the Canadian International Hockey Academy’s Rockland, ON-based minor midget team in 2014.
He also helped with 19 assists in 23 games played.
Vilardi is the Spitfires’ first #2 pick since Taylor Hall in 2007.
