Retired business teacher Paul Borrelli is Ward 10’s new city councillor.
Borrelli beat incumbent Al Maghnieh by a margin of 1,075 votes.
He won the ward with 28.4 per cent of votes cast. Closest competitor Jim Morrison captured 25.1 per cent of the vote.
Borrelli won with a total of 1661 votes.
The new councillor holds an MBA in marketing and finance and is a two-time undergraduate alumnus from the University of Windsor.
Borrelli said he’s a strong advocate for education and entrepreneurship.
Outgoing councillor Al Maghnieh won 10% of the vote, with 586 votes cast in favour.
