COVID-19 Cases Reported At Five More Windsor Essex Public Schools

The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at five more schools in Windsor-Essex.
The board is reporting one case in a student at Gosfield North Public School on November 11th, one case in a student at M.S. Hetherington Public School on November 11th, one additional case in a student at Leamington District Secondary School on November 11th, one case in a student at Northwood Public School on November 11th, and one case in a student at Tecumseh Vista Elementary School on November 11th.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
The board sent letters to the Gosfield North school community, the Hetherington school community, the Leamington District school community, the Northwood school community, and the Tecumseh Vista Elementary School.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.
