The construction of a dog park in LaSalle is underway.
It will be located in the southeast corner of the property at the Vollmer Complex, by the Public Works building.
“We know that a dog park is something that the community has been asking about,” said Mayor Marc Bondy. “We included the project in the 2021 budget. We look forward to the completion of this for our community.”
The dog park will be about an acre in size, with separate areas for large and small dogs. There will be a water source for the dogs and existing trees will provide shade in the area. Judy Recker Drive will be widened in the area of the dog park and paved to accommodate parking.
The dog park is scheduled to be complete this fall.
