The Ontario Government is backtracking on one restriction that was announced Friday.
In a Tweet Saturday afternoon, Premier Doug Ford said, “Our regulations will be amended to allow playgrounds but gatherings outside will still be enforced. Play outside safely. Parents keep your distance & wear masks if you can’t.”
All other amenities found in parks including, sports fields, picnic shelters and gazebos, basketball and tennis courts, skate parks and exercise equipment, are still required to be closed.
Ontario’s enhanced restrictions were always intended to stop large gatherings where spread can happen.
