Outdoor skating is returning to Charles Clark Square with COVID-19 precautions.
Starting on Monday, February 22nd, the rink will be open:
- Monday to Friday: Skating sessions at 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm
- Saturdays and Sundays: Skating sessions at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm
The City is taking additional precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by allowing for a maximum of only ten skaters per session. In keeping with current provincial regulatory requirements, free public skating will be available by reservation only at ActiveWindsor.ca.
Reserved sessions will be one hour in length, with 30 minutes between sessions for staff to groom the ice surface and provide enhanced cleaning before starting the next session.
COVID-19 protocol will be in place, and participants are asked to arrive for their reserved time no more than 10 minutes early. Participants will be required to physically distance and wear a mask or face covering while at the rinks, including while on the ice.
