A fire at a multi-unit residential building caused $475,000 in damage.
Crews were called shortly before 5pm Sunday to the 1100 block of Drouillard Road, at Richmond Street, for reports of smoke and fire coming from the rear of the building.
Firefighters battled the blaze from below but soon switched to fighting the fire from an aerial unit as fire emerged from the building’s roof vents.
Windsor firefighters brought the blaze under control around 8pm.
An investigator determined the fire started at the rear exterior of the building and spread to the attic. The blaze displaced six residents.
