Air travel will return to Windsor International Airport with Air Canada resuming service on September 8th, 2020 with two flights per day to Toronto Pearson International Airport.
The main terminal will be open from 7am to 7pm with hours to change depending on service expansion.
“While the pandemic has significantly impacted the aviation sector, the resumption of air service to Windsor International Airport is an important step for the recovery process, and we welcome back Air Canada wholeheartedly,” said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens, also the Chair of the YQG Board.
Passengers can expect to see some changes to the main terminal, which now include barriers at counters; dedicated entrance and exit doors; and an increase in hand sanitization stations. Passengers are also reminded that face coverings must be worn to board an aircraft and also within the airport terminal. YQG urges only ticketed passengers to enter the terminal area.
