Advanced Voting Dates Announced For Ward 7 By-Election

Windsorites will have four chances to vote early in the Ward 7 municpal by-election, the City of Windsor announced Monday.
Voters wishing to cast their ballot in advance of the October 5th election will be able to vote at the WFCU Centre, 8787 McHugh Street, on Tuesday, September 29th, Wednesday, September 30th, Thursday, October 1st, and Saturday, October 3rd. The advanced polling station will be open between 10:00am and 8:00pm on each of the dates.
Officials say the following health and safety precautions will be in place at the polls:
- Signage to help with traffic flow and maximum occupancy
- Floor markings to support 2-metre physical distancing requirements
- Plexiglass screens at polling stations
- Enhanced cleaning protocols for high-touch surfaces
- Hand sanitizer available throughout the poll
- Proxy voting option available (you’re asked to call 311 for more information)
