Live music, aerial artist performances and patio tables on the street are all planned in downtown Windsor this weekend.
Streets will close to traffic at 5pm Friday, July 24th, 2020 and reopen at midnight on Sunday, July 26th. Closed streets include a section of Ouellete Avenue north of Wyandotte, University Avenue and Pit Street.
While streets are closed, you can enjoy a meal on one of the brand new parklets, stop to watch some high-flying aerial performers from Elixia Performance Arts or listen to one of the musical acts, sponsored in part by the School of Creative Arts at the University of Windsor.
“Ride your bike down and stop for lunch or head to the downtown core for dinner,” said Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association chair Brian Yeomans. “It’s thrilling to see the downtown streets come to life with people enjoying each other’s company in a safe environment.”
