A driving protest for the Black Lives Matter movement was held locally Thursday evening, giving those who want to show support but are wary to gather physically due to the pandemic a chance to come out.

Numerous vehicles departed the former Sears store’s parking lot at Devonshire Mall.  Attendees affixed signage to their cars and signs showing words of support were held by passengers. Participants drove responsibly while sounding their horns and showing why they were there while following the route of the event.

A moment of silence was held at the end of the drive.
