New Infrastructure Services Director In Essex

The Town of Essex has a new Director of Infrastructure Services.
Kevin Girard most recently served as Manager of Environmental Services for the Town of Lakeshore, before taking the job in Essex. He has held previous municipal and private sector positions with the Town of Kingsville and Coco Paving.
“Kevin is a highly motivated engineer and brings experience from both the public and private sectors,” said Chris Nepszy, Chief Administrative Officer. “We are excited to welcome him to the Town of Essex team and look forward to his contributions on ensuring the infrastructure needs of our citizens are met.”
The Director, Infrastructure Services, provides leadership and direction in the areas of Capital Works, Drainage, Environmental Services, and Operations. The Director provides strategic vision, leadership and expert guidance to the Town while coordinating the ongoing maintenance and renewal of municipal infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and sewer systems.
Kevin is a certified Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) from Lakehead University, as well as a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from St. Clair College. Kevin is also currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from the University of Windsor.
