Border City Living hosted their first community event, an Ambassadors Brunch for the Welcome Centre Shelter. The event, which took place at the newly renovated Dry Goods Building at 1012 Drouillard Road, hosted a simple brunch for a good cause.
Attendees were not only able to enjoy their brunch, but also have an opportunity to learn how they as individuals could become ambassadors for the shelter and help locals experiencing homelessness in the area. Guests spoke of their experiences with the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women & Families, and an opportunity to do their part through shopping at the donation-driven boutique on site. The boutique displayed specifics types of donations that are in need currently at the shelter.
