On Christmas Day, The Green Bean Café located near the UWindsor campus will host its 10th annual free community holiday dinner.
The dinner starts at 11am and is completely free, open to the public and features a traditional holiday meal including mashed potatoes, squash, pies, and ten turkeys.
“We love celebrating Windsor’s diversity year-round and Christmas is no different,” said co-owner Caleb Farrugia . “This event is about community and knowing your fellow neighbour. Whether you’re a student hanging around campus during the winter break, or you want to come and share your holiday traditions, or if it’s your first time celebrating Christmas, we would love to host you.”
This dinner is made possible by local donors. If you are business or individual interested in supporting this event, you can email [email protected].
