Christmas comes to Tecumseh this Friday.
“The holiday season is about spending time with family and friends and the Christmas in Tecumseh celebration represents the strong sense of community we have here in the Town of Tecumseh,” said Mayor Gary McNamara. “I look forward to this event every year as we come together to celebrate the season and give back through the annual Goodfellows campaign.”
This year’s Santa Parade will begin between 6pm and 6:15pm and will travel southbound along Lacasse Boulevard to Tecumseh Road, continuing westbound on Tecumseh Road to Lesperance Road, and will make a final turn northbound travelling on Lesperance Road to Tecumseh Town Hall.
A number of free activities are scheduled in and around the Tecumseh Arena and Town Hall from 6pm to 9pm including horse & carriage rides, christmas caroling, outdoor marshmallow roast, free public skating, balloon twisting, outdoor christmas movie with popcorn and so much more.
Throughout the evening, volunteers from the Optimist Club of St. Clair Beach will be serving BBQ hotdogs and warm refreshments.
Following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus invite children to visit them in Santa’s Village at the Tecumseh Arena building.
