Two Friday Afternoon Fires Keep Firefighters Busy

Windsor firefighters battled two fires on opposite ends of the city, Friday afternoon.
Fire crews were called around 1:35pm to a vacant home near the roundabout at Felix and Mill in West Windsor. Upon arrival, they found the back of a home engulfed in flames.
The fire was quickly brought under control. The blaze caused $10,000 in damage.
No injuries were reported.
As crews were finishing up at the scene, firefighters were called to 1000 block of Matthew Brady in Riverside for a kitchen fire.
That fire was brought under control and the cause is listed as careless cooking. There were also no injuries at the second fire scene.
