The summer months are known to animal shelters across Canada as “kitten season”. Litter after litter of homeless kittens come through our doors, in addition to the many adults who also find themselves in need of help. This has left the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society bursting at the seams and in need of loving homes for all these cats and kittens.
This weekend marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, and the Humane Society will be marking the occasion with an “out of this world” adoption promotion.
On Saturday, July 20th, all cats over 9 months old can be adopted for free. In addition, all kittens can be adopted for only $30. Even at these reduced fees, all felines come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Usual adoption screening processes still apply.
In addition to this one day only moon landing promo, the Humane Society is offering, for the first time ever, a “pre-launch adoption promo” for people who just can’t wait until Saturday. On Friday, July 19th, any feline can be adopted for only $50
