Improved cycling facilities could be coming to Riverside Drive in the Town of Tecumseh.
Town Council will be asked for the approval to study the construction of a 2.4 metre wide trail with a length of approximately 2.4 kilometres along Riverside Drive from the Town of Tecumseh/City of Windsor municipal boundary to Manning Road.
If approved the town would then study the final evaluation of preferred trail location on north or south side of Riverside Drive and would prepare a detailed trail design including driveway refurbishing, drainage works, and landscaping treatments.
A public consultation process by way of an Open House would also be held.
Total cost is estimated $775,000 and will be worked into the 2017 Public Works and Environmental Services Capital Works plan.
