Emancipation Day Celebration Postponed

The Emancipation Celebration at Lanspeary Park has been postponed for 2016. It had been scheduled for August 6th and 7th.
In a press release, organizers say that “Though the past two years proved to be successful in attracting Windsorites and special guests to the event, it is a costly endeavour. For these years, the majority of the funding has come directly from committee members and local business supporters. This year, there is simply not enough funding.”
They say that after recent restructuring, they have committed ourselves to working with other community groups and government agencies to ensure that the Emancipation Celebrations at Lanspeary Park continue in 2017.
