The popular night markets of Walkerville and Kingsville are expanding to Tecumseh.
“After the success of the 2nd season of the Walkerville Night Market and the inaugural season of the Kingsville Night Market, it is exciting to bring the event to a new community, we are expanding to Tecumseh!” says organize Teanna Lindsay.
Last year, the 2015 summer series saw over 35,000 people enjoy a Friday night event in Walkerville & Kingsville. The event which happens once a month on a Friday Night in a supporting community, features local Windsor & Essex county artists, farmers and musicians. The all ages, family-friendly event continues to be loved by many.
“The Town of Tecumseh and the Tecumseh BIA is very excited to bring the Night Market series to our Town. The Night Market event is a perfect venue for people who are busy during the day to shop and buy local produce and products and enjoy food, music and children activities all in one area. It allows collaboration for residents and visitors to support local farmers, crafters, businesses and see firsthand what Tecumseh and the County has to offer and they can experience it all in their own neighbourhood,” said Paula Rorai, Coordinator, Tecumseh BIA.
This year the event will feature more activities for children, as well as a ‘Meet the Maker’ feature tent, which will be a speaker series showcasing the many vendors of the night market. Guests will learn directly from the creators themselves!
The Tecumseh market kicks off on June 24th and will be held in the parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion.
