Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario will be holding a job fair for Attendant Service Worker positions.
They are seeking candidates who best demonstrate attributes of integrity, honesty, professionalism, flexibility and strong desire to assist adults with physical disabilities and seniors with self-directed personal care and tasks of daily living.
Preference will be given to applicants who have clear and successful experience providing personal care, and in particular those who can communicate effectively in both official languages.
Candidates with the right skills will be selected for positions requiring delivery of services primarily in the French Language. Personal Support Worker Certificate or greater qualifications and current First Aid/CPR certification are considered assets.
We may sponsor the best successful applicants for tuition fees to complete the PSW certificate training on a part-time basis while employed with A.L.S.O.
Applicants must possess a current/valid Ontario driver license and daily access to use of personal vehicle for work, full flexibility to assist consumers at their home(s) and/or other ALSO sites/programs in the community, demonstrated commitment to superior and flexible service with personal care, tasks of daily living and homemaking, provided under the direction of consumers and a program supervisor, excellent skills of communication, planning, tact, diplomacy, and the ability to develop a positive working relationship with consumers while taking their direction, and a willingness to work every other weekend.
Employment is subject to a police clearance and a fit to work medical form.
The job fair will be held on Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 from 10am to 1pm at 3141 Sandwich Street.
