The Government of Canada is giving the City of Windsor $3.5 million for the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships.
More than 900 swimmers from 170 countries will take part in these championships, which will feature 46 events, including 34 individual and 12 relay when it comes to Windsor in December 2016.
“I want to thank the Government of Canada for their investment in the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m). We look forward to hosting this prestigious event and welcoming the world to Windsor in December 2016, as well as this opportunity to highlight the best of what Canada has to offer,” said Mayor Drew Dilkens.
