Sandpoint, West Belle River Beaches Closed Due To High Bacteria

windsoriteDOTca will be providing weekly beach reports every Friday, all summer long.
We will let you know which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.
Water samples testing for E.coli bacteria are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.
Based on samples taken Wednesday, July 15th, 2015:
Swimming is not recommended at Cedar Island Beach, Hillman Marsh Beach, Holiday Beach, and Mettawas Beach.
Sandpoint and West Belle River beaches are closed this week.
