Toddler Calls 911 Twelve Times In One Hour

Windsor Police say that dispatchers received twelve emergency 911 calls this morning in less than an hour from a 2-year-old who was playing with an old cell phone.
Police say that the mother was allowing the child play with an old cell phone.
They are sending out a reminder that old cell phones without plans are capable of dialing 911 and shouldn’t be considered to be a toy.
Police are also reminding everyone to “lock” your cell phones prior to placing them in your pockets. Preventable, accidental 911 calls needlessly tie up dispatchers and take them away from real emergency calls.
