Caesars Windsor has given layoff notification to 62 people, the company announced this morning.
Casino officials announced that 47 full-time employees and 15 part-time employees in the areas of transportation, food and beverage and finance have received layoff notification.
“Staffing reductions are a result of finding efficiencies in departmental processes,” says CEO Kevin Laforet. “This allows us to remain fiscally responsible and ensure our long-term sustainability in a highly competitive market.”
Officials note that there are 29 full-time and 18 part-time job postings in a variety of areas that these affected employees are able to apply to should they choose to and also meet the qualifications.
The company says the openings are due in part to reclassification of other jobs, new job openings or normal job fillings.
