The face of the Downtown Windsor bar scene continues to change with the redevelopment of the former Voodoo Nightclub.
The 4,000 square-foot building is being taken down to its bare bones and being rebuilt to create Windsor’s very first ‘Pub Club.’ The establishment will have all of the qualities of a 21st century Pub, according to owners, but will include a dance floor and live entertainment for the late evenings — four nights a week.
The Pub Club is being opened by the ownership group from other popular downtown establishments including The Bull & Barrel, The City Grill and Level 3 Vodka Emporium.
“Our vision for downtown has always been based on being different,” says partner Andrew Corbett. “The Pub Club will be the perfect mix of a Pub, with a wide selection of spirits and beers, but also adding nightly entertainment and dancing to the mix.”
Corbett says by creating something unique, they hope to drive more foot traffic to downtown for everyone.
“We will be leaving behind the reputation of Voodoo Night Club and embracing the positive change that is happening in downtown Windsor,” he said.
The Pub Club will be opening in early May 2015.
