Windsor Fire crews were called to a fire at 2497 Everts around 3:30pm Sunday afternoon.
Officials say that the south Windsor fire started in a car in the attached garage.
No one was home when they arrived and they had to force their way into the side door of the garage.
The fire was declared out about half an hour later.
The garage suffered extensive fire damage while the house suffered smoke damage.
Officials say the cause is listed as accidental, caused by someone working on car in the garage.
Damage is set at $100,00.
