Amherstburg Community Services is looking to ensure that the older residents of the community are not forgotten this time of year.
Organizers are hosting their second annual “Stuff a stocking for a Senior” collecting homemade cards with a holiday message, personal hygiene items soaps, lotions, toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes, socks and gloves.
They are also looking for small boxes of chocolates, candies, cookies, etc and bags or boxes to put the gifts into.
Amherstburg Community Services plans to distribute these gifts to the seniors in the Amhersburg, LaSalle, Harrow and McGregor areas.
