Hundreds of chili lovers gathered for the annual Windsor Firefighters Chilifest.
The chilifest ran from 11am to 2pm in the Skyline Room at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts.
Over 40 flavours of chili were donated by local restaurants and served by Windsor’s Firefighters.
Event organizer Bridget Chippett said this was the 24th chilifest that has been held in Windsor.
Money that has been raised today gets donated back to the community. These donations help various sports teams and charities that need assistance throughout the year.
“We’ve always assisted the lung association over the years, but they left the Windsor area approximately eight years ago,” she said. “The Firefighters took the event over, and we run the entire event now.”
Approximately 42 restaurants participated in today’s event.
