Kusmierczyk, Sleiman, Gignac, Payne, Marra Re-Elected In Windsor

City councillors in wards five, six, seven, eight and nine were each re-elected by Windsor voters on Monday.
Ward 5 councillor Ed Sleiman was re-elected with 2707 votes and captured 57.3 per cent of the ward.
Ward 6 councillor Jo-Anne Gignac was also re-elected. Gignac attained 69.9 per cent of the vote and won with 5395 votes cast.
Ward 7 councillor Irek Kusmierczyk stumbled as results first started rolling in, and trailed competitor Angelo Marignani by several votes.
Kusmierczyk went on to win the ward with 50.8 per cent of the vote. He captured 3761 votes.
In ward 5, Bill Marra was re-elected with 3095 votes and 77.3 per cent of the votes cast.
Lastly, in ward 9, councillor Hilary Payne was re-elected with 1628 votes, or 30.7 per cent.
