Fred Francis Captures Ward 1 Council Seat

Fred Francis is the new city councillor for Ward 1.
With 103 of 103 polls reporting, Francis led by 2,953 votes and 36.6 per cent of the vote.
Francis, brother of outgoing mayor Eddie Francis, said he is fortunate the people of Ward 1 elected him.
He looks forward to representing the people of Ward 1 for the next four years.
“I am ready to hit the ground running. I’m looking forward to get the work done and starting it,” he said. “For me the work starts tomorrow.”
Francis said his priorities are holding the line on taxes, putting an end to basement and backyard flooding and make Windsor one of the most attractive and affordable cities in North America.
Francis said he wants to be the ward councillor that people have direct access to.
“I’m the representative for all of Ward 1. If you voted for me or if you didn’t, I’m going to represent you the same way,” he said.
He said he’s committed to getting the job done for everyone in his ward.
