Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Windsor and Essex County.
They say a hot and humid airmass is expected to affect portions of southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe on Tuesday. Humidex values near 40 are forecast for Tuesday afternoon.
Environment Canada says a cold front will sweep across the area Tuesday night bringing a return to near seasonal temperature values for the remainder of the week.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
