The Town of Amherstburg Building Department is spending the weekend moving to a new location at the Libro Centre, located at 3295 Meloche Road. The Building Department has been located at the Amherstburg Town Hall.
This move is the first phase in relocating Economic and Community Development services to the Libro Centre.
The town is moving to provide improved services to residents and stakeholders at a facility that can provide the amenities necessary to address the expanding needs of the community and to improve accessibility. Other services of the Economic and Community Development Department will follow in the months to come.
Long term plans also call for the Planning Department, the Economic Development Office, Special Projects and Procurement to move to the centre.
The new location for the Building Department opens Monday.
