Ottawa Street Set To Celebrate Grand Reopening

For most of the summer of 2013, merchants and customers on Ottawa street had to deal with closed roads and construction noise and dust.
The end result was a new roadway, sidewalks, and much improved street scape elements and light posts.
This weekend they plan to celebrate the end results by throwing a grand reopening celebration that will include sales, buskers and performances by Sky Society, extended patios, live entertainment and much more.
The highlight of the weekend will be a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially reopen the newly redesigned Ottawa Street. That will take place on the corner of Windermere and Ottawa Street.
Other highlights include live entertainment in Lanspeary Park with Rob Seff and Simantix opening for Greatest Hits Live Saturday night. Paws on Parade Dog Parade will take over Lanspeary Park on Sunday
