Windsor Express Head Coach Bill Jones was named Coach of the Year by the National Basketball League of Canada, at The NBL Canada Awards Banquet held Saturday in Charlottetown.
Jones led the Express to a 29-11 record, the best mark in the NBL this regular season.
In the playoffs, Windsor swept Mississauga, eliminated the two-time champs from London and clinched their first NBL Championship in franchise history, beating the Island Storm in seven games.
Jones has compiled a 51-29 record in his two seasons at the helm of the Express.
