Construction is wrapping up at the corner of Dougall and West Grand in South Windsor on a project to replace a derelict piece of property with a new commercial building.
The original building, demolished last June, was assisted by the City of Windsor’s blight mitigation strategy and a sign was erected to praise the future of the property.
Situated at the corner of West Grand and Dougall, the property closed as a Shell gas station years ago and had since sat boarded-up and weed-covered.
The new development includes a 5,600 square foot, two story office and commercial building. Included in the development will be 21 parking spaces and landscaping to soften the look of the property.
