churcHouse presents The Bass-ment Rock-a-Boogie this Friday.

The concert will feature Doghouse Rose from London, The Greasemarks from Toronto and Chelsey Danfield from Windsor.

Doghouse Rose:

Many miles down the dusty back roads of South Western Ontario, the roots of country music grow wild in the elements of folk, punk and rock n roll. This unique, natural occurrence could only be harnessed through the music of Doghouse Rose. Award winning singer/songwriting team Sarah Beth and Jefferson Sheppard are harnessing up to tour down the endless road of the traveling musician. With the addition of renowned hotshot Carl Welch on Drums and backup vocals, the opportunity to make an awesome live show even more unforgettable could not be passed up.

The Greasemark:

Leaving a trail of grease stained pillows, broken hearts and busted amps in their wake The Greasemarks have been doin’ desperate 50′s rockabilly raw & right since 2007. Three guys, all named Mark – a bassist pullin’ double duty, kickin’ a snare while beatin’ out the rhythm, a guitarist not thinkin’ much beyond keepin’ the chords live, & a young, drunk, explosion of nervous energy up front , barely able to hold the acoustic guitar in his hand as he chokes out the words.

Chelsey Danfield:

Singer/Songwriter from Maidstone Ontario. Haven’t heard of it? Well if you need a post office or a shawarma/vegetable stand place then Maidstone is your stop. She’s been performing locally for the last 4 years now at just about anyplace that will let her…homeless kitten and cat fundraisers included. Chelsey grew up with country roots; living on a farm, the dial is pretty much parked on a country station. The music she writes is very folk based with some pop and country flavours.

The show takes place at the oasis lounge, located at 7515 Forest Glade Drive. $12 admission, 19 and over only. Show starts at 9pm.
