Balcony Fire Spreads to Apartment Unit at Wyandotte and Marion

Windsor firefighters have extinguished a fire at an apartment building at the corner of Wyandotte Street East and Marion Road.
Fire broke out around 9:15pm and arriving firefighters observed heavy fire and smoke on a rear second floor balcony.
Fire spread from the balcony into the apartment and firefighters were met with heavy smoke conditions inside.
Firefighters brought the fire under control and eventually called it out within minutes. There were no injuries.
An investigator will be attending the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.
