Windsor Police are investigating after two men were slashed with an edged weapon just before 5am just east of Downtown.
Police were called to residence in the 800 block of University Avenue for a report of an injured person, and when they arrived they found a 23-year-old male bleeding from several slash wounds to his face. Paramedics attended the residence and transported the man to Hotel-Dieu Hospital where he is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A short time after the man arrived at hospital, a second man, also 23 years old and identified as the roommate of the first man arrived at Hotel-Dieu Hospital suffering from numerous slash wounds to his face. He is also being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say that they have limited information about this person and are attempting to piece together the events leading to the slashing injuries received by the two men. The investigation is proving difficult as both men are not cooperating with Police.s occurrence.
Police report that no weapon has been located, and that their investigation is ongoing.
