Windsor Firefighters have wrapped up from fighting a fire in the 400 block of Bridge Avenue.
Fire broke out around 10:45pm at 438 Bridge. A witness on scene described the initial fire as a “blast of flames” which engulfed the front room of the single-story house.
Firefighters extinguished the fire on the main floor of the home, however it had already spread to the attic and the neighbouring house.
The second house was extinguished before midnight. Witnesses on scene said that the first house had recently had a new roof put on and was vacant and that the second house was occupied by University of Windsor students.
No injuries are reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
