Spitfires Edge Brampton Battalion in Shootout

The Windsor Spitfires pulled off a 6-5 win last night over the Brampton Battalion before a crowd of 6455 at the WFCU Center. The game winning goal in the shootout was scored by recently acquired Jake Carrick after eight rounds. Zack Kassian led the scoring with two goals and an assist. MacQueen, Johnston and Jeff Brown each added a goal to the total. The Spits were leading 3-1 going into the third but Brampton was able to put four goals past Campbell. The Spits added another two goals in the third by MacQueen and Johnston. During the shootout, after each team scoring a goal, it took another 6 rounds before Carrick could slide one past Brampton’s goaltender
The Spits will play Barrie Colts on the road tomorrow evening and then the Plymouth Whalers next Thursday at home.
