LaSalle Receives Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada presented a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to the Town of LaSalle for its annual budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1st, 2016.

In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan and as a communications device.

“Congratulations to Dale Langlois, Manager of Finance/Deputy Treasurer, and all of the members of the Finance Department, for their contribution to the budget document,” said Joe Milicia, Director of Finance/Treasurer.

“We have an excellent Finance staff, led by Mr. Milicia and Mr. Langlois. As a team they continually demonstrate why they are so highly thought of, not only amongst our other departments, but also in our region, and at the Ministry level. A well earned award,” said Mayor Ken Antaya.

The award was presented to LaSalle Council at the July 12th, 2016 Council Meeting.
