Strong Road as seen on Google Street View

Lakeshore OPP are investigating after a crash between a vehicle and a train claimed two lives this morning.

Just before 10am, a minivan and a CP Rail train collided on Strong Road — a gravel road just East of Belle River — north of County Road 42 and between County 22 and Golfview Drive.

Police have confirmed that the van was traveling southbound on Strong Road when it was struck by a CP Train at a level train crossing.

Two children, both girls, in the vehicle succumbed to injuries; two other children in the van were taken to Hotel Dieu and Metropolitan hospitals in Windsor along with the male adult driver of the van.  Their injuries are undetermined at this time.

Strong Road will remain closed for the next several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators investigate the crash.

windsoriteDOTca will have more information as it becomes available.

95 km an hour and no lights or guard rail.

      Does not make any sense.
