Firehouse Subs has opened its third area location in Amherstburg at 83 Sandwich Street South.
Founded in 1994 by three former firefighter brothers in Jacksonville, Florida, they specialize in hot subs made with premium meats and cheeses, steamed to perfection, then piled high on a toasted private recipe roll.
The restaurant interior boasts a beautiful custom mural, hand-painted by Chief Mural Artist Joe Puskas. Each Firehouse Subs restaurant features a mural unique to its community and restaurant, with this one depicting the iconic King’s Navy Yard Park, a designated National Historic Site of Canada, and the Crown Royal blending and bottling plant.
A former first responder and now seasoned restauranteur, Javed Qadree, also opened a Firehouse Subs restaurant in Chatham earlier this year and runs five locations in total, including restaurants in Windsor and Sarnia.
The Amherstburg location opens at 10:30am to 9:00pm.
