A Windsor woman has passed away after an early morning fire in the east end of Windsor.
It broke out around 12:30am Tuesday in a second floor apartment unit on Erskine.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire and it was brought under control in under an hour.
Officials say the cause of the fire is the careless use of a lighter.
Damage is set $100,000 to the apartment and second floor corridor.
