In celebration of the upcoming Down Syndrome day — which takes place March 21st — the Disability Studies Student Association at the University of Windsor ran their third annual Down Syndrome Day Walk Sunday afternoon.

Participants walked 5 kilometers along the riverside, showing their support for the cause. All proceeds from the event goes to UpAboutDown Windsor Essex.

Roughly $800 was raised at this year’s walk.

Brynn Jichici and Sarah Jichici, co-presidents of the Disability Studies Student Association at the University of Windsor.

All contributors received a bag of chips and a drink.

A raffle attendees could participate in.

Participants showed their support by wearing funny and mismatching socks while walking.
